PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Dan Robinson joins NKF Consulting as the managing director of Operations & Logistics Strategies and is working out of Newmark Knight Frank’s Chicago office.
For the past 12 years, Mr. Robinson has been actively involved in consulting, managing and leading global organizations during operational improvement initiatives and/or mergers and acquisitions (pre and post), specifically for manufacturing, retail and service-oriented companies. Before joining the NKF Consulting team, Mr. Robinson was a key member of the strategic network practice for an international consulting firm, where he assisted mid-tier and Fortune 500 North American and European multinational companies in all areas of supply chain and operations management including: logistics finance, strategic sourcing, procurement, materials management, customer service, inventory management, order fulfillment, warehouse management and distribution. Mr. Robinson’s strategic consulting services generated cost reductions for his clients by optimizing business operations. In addition to providing analytical and strategic counsel, Mr. Robinson often assumed interim management positions ensuring successful integration and achievement of strategic initiatives. Notably, Mr. Robinson played a leading and pivotal role transitioning and restructuring a world-class packaging company’s global infrastructure and real estate holdings to improve operational performance and competitive market positions in North America and Western Europe.
Mr. Robinson has managed projects in Mexico, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He has completed projects for clients in the following industries: Agriculture, Automotive, Consumer Retail, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Packaging (Metal & Plastic), Warehousing, Gas, Energy and Transportation. Moreover, through managing sales and negotiations, Mr. Robinson has identified over $60 million in combined savings for his clients.
EDUCATION:
Mr. Robinson graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BA in International Business with lengthy studies abroad at Upsala University - Sweden, University of Helsinki, and University of Orleans - France. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Northwestern University with an emphasis on Operations Management.
