Diane Ruf understands that an effective workplace strategy is one that unites facilities, employees, processes and technology in a synergetic effort to attain a company’s business objectives and that it directly affects the company’s bottom line.  Moreover, with 25 years of experience, she possesses the expertise needed to transform a company’s inefficient workplace into a smoothly operating, efficient work environment that is more pleasing to both employees and the company’s bottom line. By conducting workplace analyses and optimization studies for many different law firms and  companies such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and RedPrairie, Ms. Ruf has been able to show clients significant savings in operating costs by redesigning workplaces that reduce required space, increase productivity and increase employee satisfaction.  Ms. Ruf uses her wealth of knowledge and experience to leverage every dollar spent on her projects to achieve lowest cost while maintaining highest levels of quality. Her purchasing background from years of creating standardization programs coupled with Newmark’s internal Procurement Strategies enables Ms. Ruf to deliver tremendous savings.

Ms. Ruf has managed projects and provided workplace strategies consulting for a diverse client base, including:  Summit National Bank; The Reston Association; Arnstein & Lehr LLP; Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP; BioLab, Inc.; Spherion; Home Bank; AirTouch Cellular; BEL-Tronics, Ltd.; Larson-Juhl, Inc.; Suburban Lodge Corporate Headquarters; and, 191 Peachtree Tower, among others.

EDUCATION:

Ms. Ruf holds a B.A. Degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin with additional studies completed at the American College in London.  She has been named as a Certified Contract Designer by The Governing Board for Contract Interior Design Standards.
